Celebrate Christmas at the Cathedral with the St. Joseph Community Chorus!

This holiday season, the St. Joseph Community Chorus (SJCC) invites you to immerse yourself in the enchanting sounds of Christmas at the Cathedral. As a longstanding cornerstone of the St. Joseph community for over forty years, the SJCC continues to spread the magic of Christmas through their annual concert. Join us for this year's performances on Sunday, December 17, at 3 PM, and Monday, December 18, at 7:30 PM, at the historic Cathedral of St. Joseph located at 519 N 10th St, St. Joseph, MO.
Anticipate a joyous afternoon or evening filled with the timeless melodies of cherished Christmas carols. The SJCC will showcase their exceptional talent with renditions of classics such as "What Child Is This" (arr. Culloton), "Patapan" (arr. Conte), "Carol of the Bells" by Wilhousky, and "Jingle Bells" (arr. Weber). The chamber choir will captivate the audience with Alfred Burt’s arrangement of "Some Children See Him" and Burrows’ "Ding Dong Merrily on High."
Adding to the musical delight, SJCC's collaborative pianist, Lorrie Dixon, will be featured, enchanting the audience with Vince Guaraldi's "Christmas Time Is Here" and Nathan DeGesar’s rendition of the timeless classic, "Little Drummer Boy." Lorrie's rare talent extends beyond SJCC, as she also serves as the collaborative pianist at Missouri Western State University, boasting over 30 years of experience accompanying choirs across Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas. Lorrie holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with choral and piano emphasis from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. She, along with her husband Greg, resides in Maysville.
Tickets for Christmas at the Cathedral can be purchased at the door or conveniently online at www.stjoechorus.org/tickets. Admission is free for all students, while adults can enjoy the concert for $15, and seniors for $13.
